because I work in it.
I work in gutter cleaning in Perth, and I run the ads and the follow-up system for Mates Rates Gutter Cleaning. That’s where GutterLeads was built — not in an office, but around the actual problems of getting jobs booked while the crew is on a roof.
The things I kept seeing, at Mates Rates and in other gutter cleaning businesses:
- Missed calls while everyone is on a roof
- Enquiries one week, nothing the next
- Leads that go quiet because nobody followed up
- Ad spend with no idea what it produced
- No way to tell which marketing actually made jobs
- Seasonal swings that wreck the cash flow
So I built a system that handles the parts a busy gutter cleaner can’t get to: replying fast, following up, and keeping track. It runs at Mates Rates today. 274 enquiries in the first six weeks at about $14 each, with roughly half booked as jobs. That is the only case study on this site, because it is the only one there is so far.

Running ads for two gutter cleaners in the same suburbs means bidding against yourself with your clients’ money. So we don’t do it. One gutter cleaning partner per service area.
Mates Rates holds its own service area in Perth. Everywhere else is checked case by case.

- 04We work over video call, so location doesn’t limit who we can work with — the territory does.
